The new generation of NuPrime amplifiers have moved even further away from the cold, hard, flat and harsh sound typically associated with Class-D amplification. The Evolution One has Class-A like warmth and natural character that no other competing Class-D amplifier can recreate.

In addition, the Evolution One is able to create an enveloping ambience that reaches out and invites the listener to the music. The Evolution One pushes performance to a higher level than ever before.

Our Proud Achievements

Very few manufacturers could design a 1MΩ input impedance without adversely affecting noise and stability, where this has been achieved in other designs, the retail price to the customer is often many times higher. The Evolution One is the first Class-D amplifier to successfully implement a 1MΩ input impedance at this point in the market, affording the customer exceptional value for money.

There are many products that can present a deep soundstage, but often the performance of these products collapse when clarity and detail in these depths needs to be revealed, this is often because they are susceptible to interference. The Evolution One presents a very deep soundstage, where the imaging remains totally transparent and rich with detail. With large scale orchestral recordings, the Evolution One will be deliver clarity right through the last rows of the percussive and wind sections, one can even hear the deft touch of the pedals of an organist! These details arrive in the listening space in an honest and entirely natural manner, free from any sense that they have been enhanced artificially.

Warmth in Sound, with Exceptional Efficiency

The NuPrime Class-D amplifiers excel in power efficiency and high power output, whilst achieving that rich Class-A quality in its presentation. Thanks to many years of research and development, the Evolution One can compete with the best Class-A amplifiers in the market, without the considerable bulk, inefficiency and heat generation associated with these designs.

With the Evolution One, NuPrime has made several design advancements:

  • A new input stage with a 1MΩ input impedance. The high input impedance allows the pre-amplifier to see a much easier load and hence introduces less harmonic distortion and phase delay to the system.
  • Latest NuPrime 700KHz high-speed switching Class-D module allows greater resolution to be achieved.
  • High-speed computing simulations were performed for the Evolution One design, in order to achieve the highest input impedance and the lowest phase delay.
  • The power supply has been enhanced to deliver cleaner and more stable power with lower noise floor.
  • High Quality copper strips instead of usual cables are used to connect the power supply to the amplifier’s circuitry, maximizing power delivery.

The NuPrime Sound

The Evolution One outperforms its predecessor in every aspect which NuPrime amplifiers are known for by having:

  • Wider and deeper soundstage
  • Faster dynamics with greater range
  • Lower distortion and noise
  • Cleaner background that provides greater detail and nuances

“…Naturally, there were many more implementations using ICE and Pascal modules that I have not used in a controlled environment but judging from what I heard at shows, it seemed that class D would never be it for me. Then I heard the NuPrime ST-10 using proprietary class-D circuitry and it changed everything. The ST-10 does not sound like a typical class-D amp at all. It has bass control and heft easily as good as the best Pascal amps I heard, a natural timbre even better than that of many class AB amps and while its transparency and resolution could be better and its treble lacks fluidity and air, the amp has such magnificent PRaT and makes for such a lively and engaging performance that you quickly forget about that. …

…The Evolution Ones were used in several scenarios, both using my own systems as well as in two friends’ systems and a pattern soon emerged. Wherever they were used, they were like chameleons, always refrained from editorializing the sound. These amplifiers really are as neutral as they come…

The Evolution Ones sound crisp and clear yet richly textured and timbrally natural, with excellent focus and a reach-out-and-grasp solidity to objects within the soundstage along with a level of lifelike purity and directness that is quite rare. The amps do not rose-tint of otherwise beautify the sound in any way which does make their performance highly dependent on the recording quality. These are reference amplifiers for those who wish to hear precisely what is in their recordings.” – CHRISTIAAN PUNTER, HIFI-ADVICE.COM (read in full here)
